The A/W '13/'14 collection by Royal Hem gets inspiration from the "London Tweed Run", a group bicycle ride through the center of London, in which cyclists are expected to wear tweed plus four suits. The result is an interesting mix between preppy style and English tweed, sartorial elegance and British style, creating an informal luxury that is the trademark of the brand Royal Hem. Protagonists of the collection are of course the tweed plus-fours trousers paired with unstructured jackets, fanciful vests and shawl-collar Chesterfield-style coats with hand-made patch pockets. Hereby some shots of the collection, that have particularly inspired me.
La collezione A/I 13/14 di Royal Hem si ispira alla "London Tweed Run", un giro di gruppo in bibicletta per il centro di Londra indossando abiti in tweed con pantaloni a 3/4. Il risultato è un interessante mix tra lo stile preppy e il tweed inglese, tra eleganza sartoriale e stile British, un informal luxury che contraddistigue il marchio Royal Hem. Protagonisti della collezione sono ovviamente i pantaloni a 3/4 di tweed abbinati a giacche destrutturate, fantasioni gilet e cappotti dal collo sciallato Chesterfield con tasca a toppa cucita a mano.
